- REGULAR MEETING
The Poland Township Board of Trustees held a regular meeting February 2, 2022 at the Poland Township Government Center located at 3339 Dobbins Road Poland, Ohio.
Mr. Ungaro calls the meeting to order.
Ms. Best leads the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mr. Scharville does roll call. Ungaro, Kempers, and Wollet are present.
Mr. Ungaro motions to approve the minutes dated 01/12/2022 (Regular). Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes-Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.
Mr. Ungaro motions to authorize payment for all outstanding bills for the Township. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.
Mr. Ungaro motions to approve Resolution #22-05: Tax Advance. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.
Cindy Best from the Celebrate Poland asked the township trustees if they would donate $2,000.
Mr. Ungaro motions to approve a donation of $2,000 to Celebrate Poland. Seconded by Mr. Kempers. Voting yes – Ungaro and Kempers. Abstain- Wollet. Motion carried.
Mr. Diorio is present to discuss possible paving repair project with the trustees.
FINANCIAL REPORT:

PARK COMMITTEE:
Mr. Flicky is present to give monthly report.
ZONING DEPARTMENT:
Mr. Robert Monus is not present to give monthly report. Mr. Scharville gave report.

- 0 misc. permit issued for a total of -$0; 1-appeal, $275-misc.; 0-amendments, 7 violations for the month

ROAD DEPARTMENT:
Mr. Tommy Monus is not present to give monthly report. Mr. Scharville presents report.
Mr. Ungaro motions to approve the ODOT Highway Certification of 53.849 miles of public roads in Poland Township. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes – Wollet, Ungaro and Kempers. Motion carried.
POLICE DEPARTMENT:
Chief Goodin and Chief Wilson are present to give monthly report.
Mr. Ungaro motions to approve the purchase of two 2022 Ford Explorers road ready not to exceed $97,000. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes – Wollet, Ungaro and Kempers. Motion carried.
Mr. Ungaro motions to approve the resignation letter from Chief Brian Goodin which will be effective February 28, 2022. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes – Wollet, Ungaro and Kempers. Motion carried.
Mr. Ungaro announces that on February 16, 2022 at 5:30 pm, they will have a gathering for Chief Brain Goodin.
Mr. Ungaro motions to approve RLM Electric Company contract to complete our lighting phase for the Poland Township Road Department building not to exceed $6,000. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes – Wollet, Ungaro and Kempers. Motion carried.
