MARCH 9, 2016

REGULAR MEETING

The Poland Township Board of Trustees held their regular meeting March 9th, 2016 at the Poland Township Government Center located at 3339 Dobbins Road, Poland, Ohio.

Ungaro motions at 6:02 to enter into March 9th, 2016 regular meeting.

Dr. Sarkos leads in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Scharville calls roll call. Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet were present.

Ungaro motions to approve minutes dated February 10th, 2016. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

Ungaro motions to authorize payment for all outstanding bills for the Township. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

The Financial Report is not ready for February 2016 at this time.

The Board of Trustees recognize the state wrestling qualifiers with certificates.

Ungaro motions to approve Resolution 16-02: Tax Advance. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

Ungaro motions to approve Resolution #16-04: Nuisance Notice. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

Ungaro motions to approve Resolution #16-05: Annual Budget and Appropriation. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

PARK COMMITTEE:

Mike Heher gives monthly report.

RECYCLING DEPARTMENT:

 

Scharville gives monthly report.

ZONING DEPARTMENT:

Bob Monus gives monthly report. For the month of February, there was a total Valuation of $3,337.00 and Total Fees of $25.00.

There will be a hearing for the case #ZC-01-16 on April 13th, 2016 at 6:30 P.M.

ROAD DEPARTMENT:

Ray Beatty gives monthly report.

 

POLICE DEPARTMENT:

Chief Goodin gives monthly work.

Lidle motions to approve the High School self-defense class. Seconded by Ungaro. Voting yes – Lidle, Ungaro, and Wollet.

Lidle motions to approve the purchase of ammunition for firearms qualifications from Witmer’s in the amount not to exceed $3,000. Seconded by Ungaro. Voting yes – Lidle, Ungaro, and Wollet.

Lidle motions to approve the replacement of the server by Adam Guerrieri in the amount not to exceed $3,000. Seconded by Ungaro. Voting yes – Lidle, Ungaro, and Wollet.

PUBLIC COMMENT:

 

Victoria Wheeler – 2456 Venloe – Flooding in basement and Garage due to re-paving the street. She requested public records for the maintenance history of drain next to her property, pavement history of road, contract with the paver, and the pre and post inspection of pavement.
