Regular Meeting

 

The Poland Township Board of Trustees held their regular meeting April 8th, 2015 at the Poland Township Government Center located at 3339 Dobbins Road, Poland, Ohio.

Robert Lloyd leads in the Pledge.

Ungaro calls roll call. Wollet, Lidle, and Ungaro were present.

Ungaro motioned to authorize payment for all outstanding bills for the township. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes--- Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

Dan Mir speaks about My City Hangouts. The board speaks about this for several minutes.

Ungaro motions for Resolution #15-08 Nuisance Notice. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes—Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

Lidle motions for Resolution #15-09 Fund Conversion. Seconded by Ungaro. Voting yes--- Lidle, Ungaro, and Wollet.

Ungaro motions to approve payment for Memorial Day Expenses to American Legion Post 15 and Post 247 in the amount of $250 each. Seconded by Wollet. Voting--- Ungaro, Wollet, and Lidle.

Ungaro speaks of the grant approval for the CVS Pharmacy Drug Box Grant.

Ungaro speaks of Rachael Mcdougal’s concern of stray cats. Angels for animals will set up traps around the area to help resolve issue.

Ungaro speaks of the need for seasonal help. The issue is spoken of for several minutes.

Paul Canter is not present to give financial report.

 

Park Committee:

Mike Heher gives the Monthly Report.

Lidle motions to authorize payment of $3,500 to P.S.I. Engineering for the testing of the IPAC building. Seconded by Ungaro. Voting yes--- Lidle, Ungaro, Wollet.

Recycling Department:

Scharville gives the monthly report. He speaks of picking up the litter along 224.

Zoning Department:

Monus gave the monthly report. Total valuation for April was $251,666. Fees-$2,039

Road Department:

Tom Monus gives monthly report. He speaks of flooding issues.

Police Department:

Chief Goodin gives stats for the month of February.

Lidle motions to approve the purchase of ammunition for firearms qualifications from Witmer’s in the amount not to exceed $2,100. Seconded by Ungaro. Voting yes--- Lidle, Ungaro, and Wollet.

Public Comment:

Robert Lloyd comes up and speaks of the issues of the water in the street, the ice in the winter, and the salt issue.

The Board speaks about this for a few minutes.
