REGULAR MEETING
The Poland Township Board of Trustees held their regular meeting April 13th, 2016 at the Poland Township Government Center located at 3339 Dobbins Road, Poland, Ohio.
Ungaro motions at 6:03 P.M. to enter into the April 13th, 2016 Regular meeting.
George leads in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Scharville calls roll call. Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet were present.
Ungaro motions to authorize payment for all outstanding bills for the township. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.
Paul Canter is not present to give Financial Report.
Larry Baughman – 1791 Lemont Dr – Is present on behalf of the Poland Historical Society to talk about window restoration and the historical marker at the school house. Dave was also present to give an update on the historical markers.
Debbie Ziccardi was present to talk about the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, held at the Poland High School Stadium on May 21-May 22, 2 P.M. through 10 A.M. the following day.
The Board of Trustees present a certificate of Recognition to Mark Stein for obtaining Eagle Scout.
Wollet discusses the Poland Women’s Club and their request to plant flowers.
Ray Kashmiry is present to discuss the Polo Development.
Lidle motions to resend the Polo Lighting District Resolution. Seconded by Ungaro. Voting yes – Lidle, Ungaro, and Wollet.
Lidle motions to authorize the Contribution in the amount of $1,000 to Celebrate Poland. Seconded by Ungaro. Voting yes – Lidle, Ungaro, and Wollet.
Ungaro motions to approve payment for Memorial Day Expenses to American Legion Post 15 and Post 247 in the amount not of $250 each. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.
Ungaro motions at 6:38 P.M. to adjourn from Regular Meeting. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.
Ungaro motions at 6:59 P.M. to re-enter Regular Meeting. Seconded by Wollet. Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet, and Lidle.
Lidle motions to approve emergency road repair not to exceed $24,999. Seconded by Ungaro. Voting yes - Lidle, Ungaro, and Wollet.
Ungaro motions to allow clerk to advertise for bids for the Poland Township Administration Building’s Roof. Seconded by Wollet. Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet, and Lidle.
PARK COMMITTEE: Mike Heher gives monthly report. Ungaro motions to approve the Downs Syndrome
Organization to utilize the park June 12th, 2016. Second Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.
RECYCLING DEPARTMENT:
Scharville gives monthly report.
ZONING DEPARTMENT:
Bob Monus gives monthly report. Total valuation for March 2016 was $511,339; total fees collected was $3,528.
ROAD DEPARTMENT:
Tom Monus Gives monthly report.
POLICE DEPARTMENT:
Chief Goodin gives monthly work.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
No one came forward for public comment.
