REGULAR MEETING

 

The Poland Township Board of Trustees held their regular meeting May 11th, 2016 at the Poland Township Government Center located at 3339 Dobbins Road, Poland, Ohio.

Ungaro motions at 6:01p.m. to bring to order the May 11th, 2016 Regular meeting.

Mike Heher Leads in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Scharville calls roll call. Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet were present.

Ungaro motions to approve the Special meeting minutes dated March 9th, 2016. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

Ungaro motions to approve the Public Hearing minutes dated March 9th, 2016. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

Ungaro motions to approve the Regular meeting minutes dated March 9th, 2016. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

Ungaro motions to approve the Special meeting minutes dated April 13th, 2016. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

Ungaro motions to approve the Regular meeting minutes dated April 13th, 2016. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

Ungaro motions to authorize payment for all outstanding checks for the township. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes - Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

Paul Canter is present to give financial report for months January – April 2016.  Revenue - $741,696.19 Expenditures – 914,656.26.

Ungaro motions to accept opening bids for new roof at the Administration Building as proposed. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

The Board of Trustees would like to present Eagle Scout, Jacob Hockensmith with a recognition certificate.

Michael Kapics – 8646 Four Seasons Trail – Is present to talk about the issues with speeding on road.

Wollet motions to purchase a curb machine from Concrete Edge not exceed $6,100. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Wollet, Lidle, and Ungaro.

Barb Stacy - 4885 Arrel Rd – Is present to talk about the updates of the water testing.

Ungaro motions to approve Resolution #16-06: Winter Salt Program. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

Ungaro motions to approve Resolution #16-07: Nuisance Notice. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet. The Nuisance Notices are for the following addresses:

Ungaro motions to enter into a Management Consultant Agreement, pending the prosecutor’s approval. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.

PARK COMMITTEE:

RECYCLING DEPARTMENT:

Scharville is present to give monthly report.

ZONING DEPARTMENT:

 

Bob Monus is present to give monthly report. For the month of April there were a total Valuation of $1,217,888 and total fees collected of $8,622.

ROAD DEPARTMENT:

 

Tom Monus is present to give monthly report.

POLICE DEPARTMENT:

 

Chief Goodin is present to give monthly stats.

PUBLIC COMMENT:

No one comes forward for public Comment.
